SettingsInsurgent takes place in dystopian Chicago. Insurgent takes place at various safe houses including the Amity faction’s headquarters and the Candor faction’s headquarters. Both of these places soon became unsafe as the Dauntless faction is the only faction skilled at fighting. The Abnegation were almost destroyed, the Amity and the Candor useless, and the Dauntless were split in two, Tris and the Dauntless then moved to the abandoned Dauntless headquarters. As the book progressed the war also progressed and then divides the Dauntless. The two most common locations are the shabby buildings of the faction less, and the Eurodite headquarters where the war really breaks out.

The main problem in this book is that Tris and Tobias are trying to protect the Divergent and everybody else from being harmed.

Tobias Eaton also know as Four is Tris's insrtuctor. Tobias nickname rembembles how many fears he has. Tobias was born abnegation he transferred factions at the choosing ceremony to the Dauntless to get away from his abusive father. Tobias was the instructor for the Dauntless trnsfer initiates.

Beatrice Prior also know as Tris or Six. Tris is a sixteen year old girl who is strong and hates when other people see her fears. Tris's boyfriend is Tobias Eaton (Four). Four is a very big motivation in Tris's life. Tris is also Divergent so that makes her life harder because Jeanine and the dauntless are trying to kill her.

Jeanine Mathews

Jeanine Mathews is the leader of the Abnegation mostly because of her IQ scores. She is the ringleader behind the Erudite/Dauntless alliance against the Agnegation. Jeanine also made articles qnd put lies in them about Abnegation to get others to be on her side.
