What would the bill do if passed? Where are the people that it would affect?

How does it aim to affect illegal immigrants?

This bill will make it a lot easier for people to come to the United States a lot easier. With this bill cutting funding on everybody in the US that are trying to keep the illegal immigration down. If the people doing border patrol now do not have as much funding they now have to reduce their forces which makes it harder to have eyes all over the border if you lose a lot of people. This makes t so the border patrol is failing and not because it is their fault but they cannot be everywhere at once. Ultimately, this bill helps illegals come over and the US security and other programs from doing their jobs correctly.

How might it affect the government?

This bill will create more conflict for the US government later down the road. With their being more illegal coming over and they are not paying taxes yet have both hands out it creates an issue. Our nation is going through an economic crisis and we ultimately cannot fund them. For instance, if you are barely making ends meet and are working three jobs balancing kids, and taxes. Is it fair for someone coming over here working has kids but yet, does not pay taxes? This is not fair to the American people.

How might it affect other citizens?

The citizens will be paying the illegal immigrants way instead of their own way. If they do not pay taxes, and are now making it so we have to change our way of living so they can understand. That is not fair to the American people.

What are the arguments for the bill? What are the arguments against it?

There are a lot of citizens against this bill. They know that this bill will coast them. The people will have higher taxes, less jobs, and everything will have to be translated into Spanish. The question is: is this fair to the US people. The government claims that this will cut down on our spending when in fact it will increase it. There will be more people on the welfare system.

During this summer, I had the opportunity to see the border and meet some of the border patrol. In a lot of the areas the fence my baby sister would be able to step over. In other areas there is not fence. The border patrol is spread thin as it is and have a hard time keeping up. Obviously, with them being cut, it makes it a lot harder to stop illegals from coming into the US.
