It took 13 minutes for the icecube outside to melt in 88 degree weather. It took the icecube inside 152 minutes to melt at 72 degees. Only 16 degrees difference made the ice cube melt that much faster. Wow!
HYPOTHOSISIf I expose icecubes to different temperatures then the icecube exposed to more heat will melt faster because it is in a hotter environment.

Ice Cube Experiment
ConclusionMy hypothosis was correct and supported the data that was formed. More data is not needed however, the relationship between heat and melting rate could be further investigated by using more temperatures and comparing the rates of the melting ice cubes. Ice cubes were the same size and shape and came from the same temperature at the same time. They were both placed on top of a white cloth made from the same material. It is not necessary to repeat this experiment.
