Participating in the LLC

January - March 2014*invite classes in to explore and investigate the areas of the LLC*have student groups develop 'terms of use' for each area and a presentation to share with others explaining the learning each area offers*create a LLC schedule that allows for "flexible" (Donnelly, p. 14) visits when resources are needed outside of scheduled times*display student learning and work for others to see and build on and encourage all students to particpate in a LLC learning log when they have something to share*adjust schedule, layout and resources as learning needs changeApril - May 2014*continue to welcome students in to the LLC during class time and unscheduled times such as lunch and recess*evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the LLC - use survey methods previously discussed*provide opportunities for teachers to plan and use the LLC during a professional development day for further feedbackJune 2014*celebrate the LLC*look at feedback and evaluations to determine steps for revision in the coming school year*create proposal for new materials, resources and furniture that may be required
