Grade 12 Prerequisites - Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) - English (ENG4U) or French (FSF4U)  Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U)   Chemistry (SCH4U) and one extra science Biology (SBI4U) or Physics (SPH4U)  Two additional Grade 12 university-level or university/college-level courses

Salary

Teacher salaries start around $50,000 and can range up to $100,000 after 10 years of working.  University marks have to be high to earn a full salary.

Hours

Hours can vary but an average day is around 8 hours and an average week is about 40 hours for 5 days of work a week.

Teachers typical spend there day teaching lessons to students.  What most people don't see is the work teachers put in behind the scenes.  Teachers have to make their lesson plans, write tests and sometimes have to use there prep time to help students.
