Hydroelectric Power

How does it work? The water is turned into energy by generators and turbines powered by kinetic energy that is produced by the water flow.

Advantages of Hydroelectricity:Using hydroelectric power is green, it doesn't create pollution. It is also very realiable, it is also extrememly safe and easy to use. Disadvantages of Hydroelectricity:Dams are extremely expensive to build, and building them disturbs that surrounding habitat. It also emits large amounts of methane and carbon dioxide.

Hydroelectric Power

Renewable

The most significant use of hydroelectric power is in electricity but, it is also used to run looms, grind grain, saw wood, and raise the water level for irrigation.

Most hydro-power is produced using dams, like this one.
