Hydropower is a replenishable energy source. It produces the majority of the electricity in the U.S. Hydropower plants must be located along a water source.

Bibliography for info + links Science book

31% of all hydropower energy is produced in Washington. Hydropower accouts for 6% of electrical generation in the U.S. in 2010.Its first industrial use was in 1880.

The largest hydropower plant is located in Washington. The first U.S. hydropower plant was opened in 1882. It is important to know the water cycle to understand hydropower. I chose to research this form of energy because I thought it would be interesting to make a poster about hydropower.
