THE UNIVERSAL DELCARATIONis a declaration (composed of 30 articles) adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to represent the first global expression of rights to which all human beings are inherently entitled

These rights are still being violated every day.

We should all have an obligation to respect them, as they are necessary for a well-functioning society.

Human rights are the basic liberties granted to every person simply for being human

Human Rights

-Everyone is entitled to the same rights-Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security-Everyone is equal under the law-Everyone has the right to freedom of conscience, speech, and religion-No one should be held in slavery-No one should be subjected to torture-No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondenceetc.

"The core principles of human rights first set out in the UDHR, such as universality, interdependence and indivisibility, equality and non-discrimination, and that human rights simultaneously entail both rights and obligations from duty bearers and rights owners, have been reiterated in numerous international human rights conventions, declarations, and resolutions."-UN.org
