The Hershey Company is also ranked an 8 of 10 by the Stock Scouter. Fundamental Grade AOwnership Grade FValuation Grade CTechinical Garde AStock Scouter and Yahoo Analysis made the recommendation that all shareholders hold out and do not buy or sell.

In 1894, Milton Hershey decided to create the company that would produce chocolate for his caramels. Back then, chocolate was something only affordable for the rich, but Hershey’s plan was to make chocolate a luxury for everyone. The company first began in Derry Township, Pennsylvania, that is well known as Hershey. Today, the company sells chocolates to over 90 countries and their headquarters are in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The Hershey Company was first listed on the NYSE December 1, 1927.


The Hershey Company produces chocolate and sugar confectionery items in forms of bars, boxed items, grocery products for baking, drink mixes, peanut butter, dessert toppings, and drinks. These brands include, the Hershey Bar, Almond Joy, Hershey Kisses, Bliss, Heath Bar, Reese’s, Kit Kat, Milk Duds, Take Five, York, Skor, Whoppers, Mr. Good Bar, Mauna Loa, 5th Avenue, Twizzlers, Jolly Ranchers, Good and Plenty, Payday, Zero, Zagnut, Bubble Yum Gum, Ice Breakers, Breath Savers, Chocolate Syrup, Sprinkles, Shell Topping, Reese Syrup and Peanut Butter, jar toppings, baking bars and pieces, and coconut flakes.



Their 50 week high and low was $59.43 and $81.81. For some reason, at the start of this New Year, their stock prices went up and continue to do so. One reason that the price may have went up in February is because of Valentine’s Day. Another reason that the prices are higher in December, January, and February is because the months are colder and many people want a nice hot cup of Hershey’s Cocoa.
