The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg

Characters: Homer, and Homer's brother, Harold

Setting: In the 1860's during the civil war

Plot: Homer and his older brother Harold are orphans stuck with their mean guardian named Squint, who ignores them by locking them in the barn and doen't give them proper food. Then the old coot goes and illegally sells an underage Harold into the Union army. It's up to 12-year-old Homer to find Harold and rescue him from the war.

This book was interesting in most parts of the book. I mostly liked it when there was action and when there were adventures happening. The parts that I didn't like was when the sad things happened. I never really liked sad books. I do recommend this book to others
