The Odyssey is an Epic poem. It focuses on Greek charaters Odysseus and his ten year journey from Troy to Ithaca after the fall of Troy (Trojan war). The poem covers both the circumstances that befell his family in Ithaca and his own perilous adventures back from Troy. He has a son named Telemachus and a wife Penelope.
Homer is a Greek poet. He wrote The Odyssey and The Iliad. Homer was born in the 8th - 9th Century B.C. Because Homer performed and sang he is called a bard. He is thought to have been blind. Homer wrote the poems duing the famous Trojan war era.
