Food rations for a day

A small bowl of poor quality soup, a piece of bread, and a meager cup of bad coffee was rationed out to the camp prisoners once a day. Many people died of malnutrition.

Fast Facts - Holocaust lasted from 1941 to 1945 - About 11 million people died, and about 6 million of those people were Jews.

The hospitals in Auschwitz were poor and the sick were not isolated. Generally, if one was too sick, they would be transported to the crematorium within days.
