Problem/Conflict

Conclusion

The main conflict is that Stanley Yelnats is blamed for a crime he did not commit, so he is arrested and sent to Camp Green Lake. He must also free his family from the old curse that was placed upon the Yelnats because of his great-great grandfather, Elya Yelnats, and his broken promise to Madame Zeroni.

Stanley and Zero get caught back at camp digging a hole. The boys find a suitcase with a treasure inside, which belonged to Stanley Yelnats I, Stanley's great-grandfather. Stanley is found innocent, and no record of Zero is found, so he is also released. The curse is broken, and the boys and their families become wealthy and live happily ever after. Camp Green Lake is shut down.
