Niels Bohr Niels Bohr thought that electrons orbited the nucleus much like the solar system. In fact, this model is called the planetary model.

Werner Heisenburg Werner Heisenburg calculated the behavior of electrons. He took the patterns of the atoms electrons and came up with the cloud model.

James Chadwick James Chadwick confirms this true

Ernest Rutherford Ernest Rutherford noticed that most particles went through the gold foil, meaning that atoms are mostly empty. Some particles bounced back, concluding that the nucleus is positive.

Democritus In 400 BC, Democritus named particles atomos, meaning uncuttable. He found that all matter is made up of different atoms, and cannot be broken down into anything simpler.

J.J. Thomson J.J Thomson believed that all atoms were small negative electrons, inside a bigger sphere. He created the "plum pudding" model.

John Dalton John Dalton believed that all matter is made up of atoms. He also believed that the elements of atoms were identical, and each element had different atoms. With this, he created a modern atomic model.
