January 16, 1942The deportations had outset, the Nazis seized the Jewish people out of the ghetto and transfered them to the Chelmno Extermination camp.
Summer- Fall 1943Liquidation of ghettos goes onward. Thousands of Jews were hauled to concentration camps. Lodz countinues to be spared.
September 1, 1939The German Nazis invaded Poland which triggered World War ll. All Jews were compelled move into designated areas called ghettos.
January 19, 1945The Russians bomb the Lodz ghetto not knowing any Jews are there then save them.
Summer 1942The Nazis make an announcement that all Jewish children will be deported to a “safe” place. Syvia’s parents create a plan to make sure Syvia isn’t taken by the Nazis.
February 1940Syvia, her older sister Dora, and her parents must evacuate their home and are moved into the Lodz ghetto.
May 8, 1945Germany surrenders and all Jews are freed and they can go back to living their normanl lives.(Victory Day in Europe)
