The Moon LandingApollo 11 was the spaceflight on July 20, 1969 that first took humans, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, to the surface of the Moon. Armstrong took the first step onto the surface six ours later on July 21, 1969. Armstrong spent about two and a half hours outside of the craft, Aldrin slightly less. Together they collected 47.5 pounds of Lunar material to be brought back to Earth.

The JFK AssassinationJohn F. Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States. He was assassinated on November 22, 1963 in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texsas while in the presidential motercade. He was riding with his wife, Jacqueline, Texsas Governor John Connally, and his wife, Nellie.A ten-month investagation by the Warren Commission concluded that Harvey Lee Oswad was the sniper that assassinated JFK, and Jack Ruby murdered Oswald before he could stand trial.

The Stonewall RiotsThe Stonewall Riots were a series of violent deminstrations from the gay community against a police raid on July 28, 1969 in New York City. They are considered to be the single most important event leading to the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for gay and lesbian rights in the United States.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964The Civil Rights Act of 1964 outlaws discrimination against racial, ethnic, national and religious minorities, and women. It ended racial segregation in education, public places, and workplaces. The bill was called for by John F. Kennedy while addressing the nation about Civil Rights on June 11, 1963 after a series of protests from the African-American community.
