Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Harry S. Truman the 33rd president of the United States was the one who gave out the official order to drop the bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Three days after "Little Boy" was dropped on Hiroshima another named "Fat Man" was dropped in the city of Nagasaki.

In Nagasaki after the bomb was dropped 40,000 people in estimate died because of radiation, severe burns, and because they drowned jumping into a near by river

Hiroshima and Nagasaki

On August 15, 2945 Emperor Hiroito announced that japan had surrendered putting an end to the war.

Hiroshima was bombed on the afternoon of August 6,1945. The bomb called "Little Boy" and it took out 90% of Hiroshima.

The Enola Gay was a B-29 bomber plane that dropped the bomb "liitle boy" on Hiroshima.

The United Staes was the first ever country to develope a bomb of "Little Boy" and "Fat Man's" caliber. The first bomb took out 90% of Hiroshima and the second took out 40% of Nagasaki.
