BiographyHinduism is the world's oldest religion, and has no founder. It is a henotheistic religion, and is the third largest religion in the world. 15% of the population is Hindu. The religion began in India about 1500 B.C.E. Hinduism gave birth to three other religions; Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. They believed in karma and reincarnation. Hinduism is the most dominant religion in India.

Diwali is a Hindu festival of lights. This festival is as important to Hindus as the Christmas holiday is to Christains.
