Hina Matsuri ひなまり

Dolls of Empror and Empressare dressed in kimonos and displayed on tall shelves.

Hinamatsuri is sometimes called the Peach Blossom Festival.

Flower arangements called Ikebana are crafted. Some materials include peach branches orr cherry blossems.

Hinamatsuri is a one to two thousand year old tradition.

Girls invite their friends over for tea parties with the Hinamatsuri dolls.

Hinamatsuri is the Girls/Dolls Festival. Hinamatsuri is held on March 3rd (the third day of the third month). Colors that symbolize this holiday include pink, green, and red. One hinamatsri tradition is passing dolls from mother to daughter.

A full set of Hinamatsuri dolls include: seven ladies in waiting, five musicians, two pages , and three guards.
