Rotavirus is a leading cause of severe diarrhea among infants and young children. Virtually all children will be infected with rotavirus by the age of 5. Each year an estimated 453,000 children die from diarrheal disease caused by rotavirus, most of whom live in developing countries, and another two million are hospitalized. Rotavirus is highly contagious and resistant . Symtoms are , it usually starts with a fever and vomiting, followed by 3 to 8 days of diarrhea . nearly every child in the world is at risk of infection.
