Helmeted Woodpecker

The face of the wood pecker is mostly red with a cinnamon on it's faceThere body is about 28cm long.

Ways to help1. We can stop destroying there habitat.2. Put them in breeding programs.3. Public education.4. Study more about them to find a larger population.5. Learn more about their habitats to ensure we do not destroy them.

Wood peckers build there nests in trees.Only 3 nests have been found.

A Red Helmeted Woodpecker is more silent than the other woodpeckers.The areas were they are found is South Brazil,East Paraguay,North Argentina.
