Helen of Troy

Theseus kidnapped helen when she was 12.He was founder and king of Athens. Also son of Poseidon.He was seeking companionship with his brother Pirithous. Others say they wanted intercourse with Zeus daughter before he died. Theseus chose Helen and left his mother Aethra. Pirithous chose Persephone (wife of Hades). Theseus and Pirithous traveled to the underworld to kidnap Persephone. Helen's abduction caused an invasion on Athens by her twin brothers. They captured Aerthra in revenge, and returned Helen to Sparta.

Helen's Birth

When she was younger she had a competition between her suitiors for her hand in marriage.There were 78 suitors.Menelaus won.Those suitors took an oath for them to stand by Menelaus side if any harm came upon her. Some stories say Helen remained in Sparta until her death. Others say after MEnelaus died she went to an island of rhodes, and by revenge a woman named Polyxo killed her because her husband died in the Trojan war.

She was the daughter of Zeus and Hera.She was claimed to be the most beautiful in the world. She was also nameed Helen of Sparta and of Argos. She was born in the 1200 B.C.There was a girl who was respected by all. Loved by most and hated by some.She had twin brothers Castor and Pollux, and a sister named Clymnestra. She gave birth to Hermoine, Aethiolas, Maraphius, Pleisthenes, and Nicostratus.

There is a legend that says that she staterd the Trojan War.She had an arranged marriage with King Menelaus.She was !7. She wasn't in love.Far away she didnt know she was going to be abducted again. A man named Paris was coming to kidnapped her and make her his wife. When he came she fell in love with him. She stole Menelaus money and went with Paris. When Menelaus came after her, he set off to kill her. This war last a while.She was in Troy for 10 years. During the war Helen gave birth to a number of children with Paris, but none survived.After Paris died Helen married his brother Deiphous . After Menelaus saved her he killed Deiphous.Helen managed to seduce him into letting her live and come back to Sparta with him.

Helen's mom name was Leda she was also beautiful and powerful. she was queen of Sparta. Helen came upon in an unusual way. In the form of a swan , Zeus was chased by an eagle, and seduced Leda. Still in the form of a swan they had intercourse . Leda produced an egg and Helen was born.Her father was supposed to be Tydareua(Spartan King),so he raised her like his own.
