HistoryHawaii is made of eight major islands: Oahu, Hawaii (also known as the Big Island), Maui, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Niihau and Kahoolawe.Hawaii was settled by the Polynesians. It is the 50th state and became a state in 1959.

SceneryMountains, volcanoes, water falls, beaches, rock formations, sunsets, rainbows, tropical plants , flowers, and rain forests.

AgricultureMany crops are grown in Hawaii. The most poular ones are pineapple, sugarcane, macadamia nuts, coffee and papayas.

Tourist Actractions & ActivitesNational Parks, Pearl Harbor, Battle Ships, wildlife centers, beaches ( some with black sand), surfing, water sports, live volcanoes, luaus, and spas.

Pearl Harbor On the island of Oahu there was a major center for the U.S. military power in the Pacific called Pearl Harbor. On December 7th 1941 the Japanese led a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. This is the reason the U.S.A. joined the in World War II. This is now a major tourist attraction.
