Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman was born in slavery around the year 1820 in Dorchester County, Maryland. She died on March 10th, 1913

Harriet Tubman

Harrit Tubman joined to become a soldier, nurse, and spy during the Civil War.

Harriet had a disorder called Narcolepsy.

Her parents were Harriet Green and Benjamin Ross.

After her services in the civil war, she was denied military pension.

Harriet Tubman was a public speaker, She fought for women's rights and slave rights.

Harriet freed herself from slavery by using the Underground Railroad.

Harriet Tubman was an independant, determined woman who fought for what she believed in. She escaped slavery and helped others to do the same even if she wasn't capable of doing so.

She freed over 300 slaves during her journeys.
