What did he do?He fought to stop racism, he was imprisioned in 1962 convicted of sabotage and conspiracy to overthrough the goverment.He served 27 years in prision, released in 1990 and went on to became president of South Africa. He brought the plight of the black people from South Africa to light by being imprisioned for fighting apartheid. Mandela eventually broke apartheid.
