Tundra is the coldest of all the biomes. It has extremely low temperatures, short growing seasons, and gets little rainfall.
The arctic tundra is in the northern hemisphere. The alpine tundra is located on mountains throughout the world.
Migratory birds, insects, fish, and mammals live in the tundra. Shrubs, certain flowers, and lichen are specially adapted to live in the tundra.
