The movie was very similar to the actual play. It puts a modern twist on an old story by adding a more current atmosphere. There was an added scene between Ophelia and Hamlet that was assumed to occur in the play (The sex scene). Their interpretation of Hamlet allows the viewer to have a better understanding of the plot. Though Shakespeare has an incredible way with words, it is easier understood with the transitions in the movie. It was interesting how they communicated Shakespeare's message without tampering his original script.
