My culture includes different kinds of food. The food is a really big part my culture. Some examples are tacos, rice and beans, & tamales.

Mexican Independence day is celebrated on September 16th. On this day, Mexico won its independence from Spain.

My culture includes different clothing. Men may wear a large blanket cape called Sarape. They also wear traditional mexican boots. They also wear sombreros, which are very big hats that are different colors and designs.

A holiday somewhat similar to Halloween with skeletons is called Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead. Family and friends come together to pray and remember others who have died. It's celebrated on Nov. 1.

Many Mexicans are very religious. The Virgen de Guadalupe, also known as Our Lady of Guadalupe is a religious symbol of Catholic Mexicans. There are pictures of the Virgen de Guadalupe in churches, candles, and picture frames.
