Accomplishments

-Created many public works including rebuilding of the Pantheon.-First Roman Emperor to travel throughout the whole empire as means of governering and not military conquest-Created massive defensive fortifications throughout the Empire to maintain borders. This included the famous wall in Northern England known as Hadrian's Wall.

This is the Roman Empire that Hadrian took over after the Emperor Trajan dies in 117 AD. Never before and never again would the Roman Empire be as massive. Hadrian, opposed to Trajan's policy of military and imperial expansion began to draw back the boundries to the East in order to have natural boundries that could be easily secured and maintained.
