Effects of Destruction
Habitat FragmentationMuch of the remaining terrestrial (land) wildlife in the U.S. has been cut into fragments by roads and developments. Aquatic species' habitat has been fragmented by dams and water diversion. These fragments of habitat may not be large or connected enoguh to support species that need a large territory in which to find mates and food.
