History behind the Swine Flu

The first recorded swine flu outbreak was in 1976 on the Army Base at Fort Dix, NJ. More than 200 soldiers infected.In spring of 2009, h1n1 erupted in Mexico and spread worldwide within a few months. By June the flu would have been recorded to be in every state.

H1N1 is a new influenza virus that was first detected in people of the United States in April 2009. This virus is spreading from person-to-person worldwide.

A team of scientists, researchers and biologists from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or CDC was credited to the discovery of the virus.

Swine or H1N1?H1n1 is AKA Swine flu because it is similar to the flu in pigs.
