As musicians, Guns N’ Roses incredibly really famous. The band was formed from two bands called Hollywood Rose and L.A. Guns. Releasing an EP under the faux-indie imprint Uzi Suicide, Guns N' Roses signed with Geffen in 1986. They signed with producer Mike Clink (Heart, Eddie Money), and recorded their first album Appetite for Destruction. The biggest-selling debut in rock history. The band built a huge reputation. In September 1988, with wide MTV exposure given "Sweet Child o' Mine", it was number one, and also “Welcome to the Jungle” was number one in 1988. It stayed number on for five weeks and on the chart for nearly three years. Guns N’ Roses played with Metallica in the tour promoting the album “Use Your Illusion 1” and “Use Your Illusion 2” in 1992. The tour started July 17 and it ended up October 6. Slash was influenced to play guitar by the Rolling Stones when he heard the song “Brown Sugar”.
