The Great Wall of China was built in 221 B.C by hurdreds of thousands of people and took aproxitmitly 20 years to build. It was built in the Qin (Chin) dynasty and Qin Shi Huang (emperor of ancient China by the time) demanded to build The Great Wall of China .
