Great Barrier Reef

Many creatures live in the reef. They include blue fish, sharks, barracudas, shellfish and giant clams.

There are over 300 types of coral living on the reef.

The Great Barrier Reef was declared a national park in 1971 and a world heritage site in 1981.

Threats to the Great Barrier Reef include pollution, over-fishing and global warming.

The Great Barrier Reef is located off the East coast of Queensland. It consists of hundreds of small islands and submerged reefs.

The Great Barrier Reef is the largest living structure on Earth.
