MOVING OF ROCKS BY FORCE

GRAVITY

When a stream is young it is very skinny and widen through life from the erosion of the sides. A older stream would be much wider than a younger stream.

Running water affects erosion because the velocity at which it tracvels will tell how big a particle it can pick up faster water picks up bigger sediments. Running water also affects erosion because if its on a steep hill it will travel at a faster rate because the gradient is greater. A streams discharge says how much is being carried so if theres more water than the water pressure will be greater so it can move bigger sediments. Watershed will cause the erosion rate to increase because the water is splitting into different pathways so its stronger. How much a stream is carrying, or stream load affects erosion becasue streams carrying more tend to be stronger.
