Grand Canyon of Yellowstone National Park

Grand Canyon of Yellowstone National Park

What's a canyon?A canyon is a deep gorge, typically one with a river flowing through it.

During the summer time, the temperture can get up to 80 degrees. But in the winter, the temperature can get as low as -10 degrees.

There are several parts in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone including the North Rim, the South Rim, Artist Point, and the Lower Falls Trail.

Around 600,000 years ago, there was a huge volcanic explosion in Yellowstone that created a crater which was filled with lava. And over thousands of years, it later created a canyon which is now called Grand Canyon of Yellowstone National Park.

The Grand Canyon is about4,000 feet long and 1,200 feetdeep.

There are lots of other things that you can do in Yellowstine such as watching geysers, hicking, wild life viewing and other very exciting and memorable events.
