The Grand Canyon is about 6,000 feet deep or 1,800 meters deep and before it was a national park indains lived there for at least 1,000 years. The first person that actually lead the expidtion to the bottom was named John Wesely Powell. The two things I would do is go horse back riding to the bottom of the canyon and go white water rafting down the Colarado river. Besides most people choose sightseeing and white water rafting. The park was made a park less than 100 years ago and made in 1919.
