What do you think about the Book?

Band of Brothers is the story of Easy Company, who were the 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division in the United States Army during WWII. The book is all about their experiences and enounters, starting at their training camp and leading into the entrance in the war starting in 1942 and following all the way up intil the end of WWII. Some of their experiences that lead to great conflict involve parachuting behind enemy lines in the early hours of D-Day to support the landings at Utah beach, also helping the liberation of Carentan and again parachuted into action during Operation Market Garden. They also liberated a concentration camp and were the first group to enter Hitler's retreat in Berchtesgaden.

“Within Easy Company they had made the best friends they had ever had, or would ever have. They were prepared to die for each other; more important, they were prepared to kill for each other.”“We know how to win wars. We must learn now to win peace...”

I personally took a particular interst in this novel, as I am generally drawn towards WWII. This book is explaining all of the hardhsips that were endured by these men of Easy Company and all of the brutal obstacles that these men had to overcome in order to serve for their country. This book really puts their hard work into perspective, making you feel as if you part of the company, making me look at this book in a very positive light.
