Glycerin is an ingredient that can be found in many beauty products because of its moisture locking properties. Glycerin is used in my hand cream to treat and prevent dry, and scaly skin. Glycerin is a humentant, this means it has the ability to draw water into the outer layer of skin. It can pull moisture from the air into the skin an retain it. This helps dead skin cells fall off, keep in water, and keep the skin soft and smooth. Apart from moisturizing, glycerin can be used for cleansing, lubricating and soothing purposes
