David Walker was born on September 27 , 1796 and died on June 28, 1830. David Walker an African american anti slavery activist. While living in Boston, Massachussetts he published a book called An Appeal to the Coloured Citizens of the World. David Walker book made salves have the courage to fight against their masters.
Slave Revolt in Virginia

Nat Turner led a revolt in Southampton, Virgina on August 21, 1831. He led a revolt over Jeurislum, Virgina armory. The revolt lasted 2 days. Nat Turner had 75 followers and they killed 60 white men. Most of the revolt followers either got captured, killed, and hanged. Nat Turner did not get caught intill october.
Lasting Impact
David walker still has a lasting impact in the 21 century. Without him and his brilliant article " An Appeal to the Coloured Citizens of the World". Without this articile many of the black slaves would not of had the courage to stand up and fight for what was right.
