Appeasemnet: giving in to the demands of the aggressor to avoid conflict.The British and French were in agreement to have the appeasement until 1939. The appeasementr was passed in order to stop war because they were tired of it, weren't prepared for it, and feared Stalin. Although the appeasement ended in disaster after Hitler began to rule.

Isolationism: political ties should be avoided with other countries. The U.S. was in agreement of isolationism because they ddin't want to become involved in war if it was not necessary.

Domestic Distractions in the U.S:-trying to avoid conflict with other contries- President Roosevelt lends supplies to British and Soviets-Enemies: Germany and Japan-the bombing on Pearl Harbor occurs

Domestic Distractions in Europe:-Nazis wanted to overturn the Treaty of Versailles-Nazis take over of countries begins to cause disruption -Winston Churchill (Britain's Prime Minister) begins to fight against Hitler to stop him from invading Britain-
