Mo Willems began his career working for Sesame street where he earned 6 Emmy Awards for writing. He worked on animated series for Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network and was a weekly commentator for BBC Radio. His first book, “Don’t let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!” was awarded the Caldecott Honor in 2004. The following year, his book “Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale,” garnered him his second Caldecott Honor. In 2008 he was awarded his third Caldecott for “Knuffle Bunny Too: a Case of Mistaken Identity.” Mo was also awarded the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award in 2008 and 2009 for his Elephant and Piggie early reader series.Mo currently is a guest commentator on NPR’s All Things Considered, he lives in Massachusetts with his family, and in his own words, “makes funny drawings that hopefully will make you laugh.”
