The Boston tea party. Americans were tired of paying British taxes so they protested.On December 16 1773 at night a group called the Sons of Liberty went to the Boston Harbor dressed as Indians. They got into three British ships and threw 45 tons of tea in the harbor.It was called the Boston Tea Praty

They did not want to pay a lot of taxes to the British.Some rich land owners like George Washington did not like the British because they controlled their country.
