Causes of HFI

HFI is caused by an Aldolase B dificency. It is passed on from parent to child. It is present at birth/ congenital. The gene affected is the autosomal gene. Only one parent must be affected.

Symptoms

Some symptoms are:1. Severe abdominal pain2. Hypoglycemia a. Low blood sugar I. Leads to Coma/ Death3. Vomiting4. Convulsions5. Cold Sweat6. Excessive sleepiness7. Irritability
