Marks, Paul. "Laser "tractor beams" to tidy up space junk." New Scientist 206.2758 (2010): 20. Academic Search Elite. EBSCO. Web. 19 Oct. 2011.Space junk is a growing problem for our world today. Every time that a rocket is launched, bits of paint and parts of the rocket break off and float out into orbit. Sometimes space junk is made up of satellites that no longer work. Tractor beams could be used to move the space debris out of the way. Space junk is a danger for two reasons. It is dangerous for people on earth since from time to time those satellites fall out of orbit and could crash into humans on the ground. Space junk also poses a danger for astronauts and the rockets that carry them into space. If they run into space junk on the way into orbit, they could be injured or killed. Clearly this is a problem that is not going to go away (Marks). poster yourself
