Southern butterflies are starting to head north and increase in size. Nothern butterflys are starting to rapidly decrease in size.

Global Warming

Global Warming is a serious problem. Thankfully communities have come together to help find a solution to this problem. There are many ways to help out. Like reduce the use of gas, recycle, use energy saving light bulbs and many more... Here are some websites to help you out:http://www.volunteerguide.org/hours/service-projects/global-warming?gclid=CIfAsdeP-7UCFY6e4AodC1YAlghttp://www.greencorps.org/page/field-school-environmental-organizinghttp://www.americanrivers.org/initiatives/climate/?gclid=CLL39uKQ-7UCFcqd4AodNWEALQAlso contact your local town to see how you can get started in your community!

Greenhouse gases are water vapors and CO2 trapped in the the Earth's atmosphere. CO2 stays in the air for a long time. It with other gases makes a shield that traps heat in the Earth's atmopshere and the earth starts to heat up. Over 100 years, the Earth has gone up 3 degrees. Climate change is when the Earth naturally heats up and cools down. Global warming is caused by burning fossil fuels and putting gases into the air and deforrestation.

Effects of Global WarmingGlobal warming has effected the entire world and is changing the world as we know it. The polar ice caps are melting, sea levels are going up, major drout is happening in aggracultural places.

Greenhouse Gases* Carbon dioxide * Methane* Nitrogen oxide* Florinated gases

For an example, the butterfly population has fluxuated because the the temperature in the north has been changing. About 90% of the northern species of butterflies have decresed in the past 17 years. Also 12 new southern butterfly species have been found in the north. The butterflies in the north are starting to die out because the climate is changing and the Earth is heating up. The southern butterflies are taking over the north.
