Today, the alliance is being challenged to undertake missions both in and out of area, such as in Afghanistan, that is straining its resources and its cohesiveness. They work with states and countries to address the problems at hand in a cooperative and peaceful way. 3. Have they achieved their goals?The United Nations will be working for the next five years in the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa region preventing states from failing, and resuscitating those that do fail, are thus strategic and global imperatives. So they have not fully achieved their goal.
