Education, Career, and Discoveries

Georg was born on March 16,1789 in Erlangen, Brandenburg-Bayreuth in Germany. He died on July 6, 1854 in Munich, Germany.

Georg was sent ot Switzerland. On Septmeber 1806, he accempted a position as a mathematics teacher at a school in Gottstadt bei Nidau. Georg created the Ohm's law. His law first appeared ina lamous book called Die galvanische Kette, mathematisch bearbeitit. He stated that his law for electromotive fore acting nbetween the extremities of any part of a circuit is the product of the strength of the crrent, and the resistance of that part of the circuit.

Other Facts

The Ohm's law, which is the electrical current is proportional to potential difference, was actually first founded by Henry Cavendish. Cavendish did not publish his discoveries during his lifetime. Instead in 1879, Ohm independently made the discovery. He published it and so now it's known as the Ohm's law.
