Standard 5 Focus: I strongly believe that this region can be defined as a perceptual region because it is considered the "borderlands" based off our feelings and attitudes about it.
Standard 2 Focus: We make mental maps to show how we interpret our environment and tell others about it. As the mental map of the Mill Avenue District shows important things that people will realize more so than just a map with streets.
