Gordian I is important to history because he was the start and is part of the crisis of the thrid century, which is a period of time that followed Alexander Servus's death. it lasted 50 years and it is also a time when no emerors died of natrual causes. he also is famous because he is in the Year of the six emerors, which was basically Gordian I's dynasty's rule .

Gordian I is a roman empire. Gordian I's real name is Marcus Antonius Gordianus Sempronianus Romanus Africanus. He also came to power when he was only eighteen years old

Who

Gordian I didnt really invade any land while in his rule, he only ruled 3 weeks. he mostly stayed in rome helping with the government and taxes.

Gordian I didnt have many accomplishments because of the time of his rule, but he was obligated to restore order and crush the tax revolt, which he did. he also had an enemy who was Capellianus,he tried to remove him burt failed.

Gordian I came to power on March 22 238 bc and ended his rule on April 12 238 bc. he didnt rule very long, only 3 weeks.
